Job Summary
Arrives on time to receive paperwork and tablet for daily trips, then performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor trailer and trailer to ensure safe operation. Drives to provided stops to load and unload trailers, using a Moffett forklift to load commodities onto flatbeds, and backs empty trailers into the loading pit while retrieving full ones. Completes DVIR forms, records of load, and daily trip logs in accordance with state, local, and federal regulations, and tarps full trailers before transporting loads to processing sites. Performs special projects for management and hooks up new trailers if the current tractor requires maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- No Air Brake Restrictions
- manual transmission endorsement
- valid USDOT medical card
- minimum of one (1) year Class A commercial driving experience
- ability to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below
- meeting insurability requirements
- ability to be subject to USDOT/FMCSA drug and alcohol testing regulations
