Job Summary
Conduct semi-diesel engine diagnostics, electrical repairs, and component replacements including clutches, transmissions, and differentials. Perform routine maintenance checks, minor repairs like filter and hose substitution, and full engine rebuilds or overhauls. Troubleshoot engine-related issues and ensure all replaced parts function correctly while maintaining maintenance logs and meeting quality standards. Assist in performing DOT annual inspections on vehicles and work independently or as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a semi-diesel mechanic
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- ASE Certification preferred
- 10+ years of experience is a serious bonus
- Military motor pool experience is desirable
- Ability to do full engine rebuilds and overhauls
- Ability to perform transmission and turbo rebuilds is a bonus
- Experience with industry-standard diagnostics software
