Job Summary
The Selling Manager supports the Sales Manager and assists with showroom-wide management duties. Responsibilities include managing showroom departments, reviewing sales metrics (margins, volume, quotas, closing ratios), assisting with guest-related issues escalated from the Guest Experience Manager, collaborating with the Visual Presentation Manager on product placement, and providing leadership to sales, guest experience, and visual teams. The role involves coaching staff, learning budgeted administrative costs, understanding employee performance, ensuring documentation of procedures, completing various reports, assisting with hiring, training, and performance evaluations, delivering timely communications, attending monthly staff meetings, and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- 2+ years working in the retail industry
- 4+ years supervising in a retail industry
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn in-house computer programs
- Ability to handle guest concerns in a timely manner
- Ability to interview and staff retail location
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge and experience in team building skills
