Job Summary
Provide supervision, training, and assistance in activities of daily living (self-care, social, recreation, community, domestic skills) for an 11-year-old non-verbal male who uses an iPad for communication. Role involves total supervision, frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), driving as needed, and ensuring safety and appropriate trainings within 90 days. Per diem (as needed, Monday–Friday) position based in Rochester, NY. Requires valid NYS driver's license and ability to meet physical demands; includes exposure to varying weather and potential blood/body fluid safety considerations.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- one-year experience in the human service field preferred
- valid New York State driver’s license; a vehicle is required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be trained in all required trainings within 90 days of being hired and maintain current certifications
- Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communications skills
- Must be 18 years or older
