Self Perform Estimator / Project Manager

Job Summary
Senior Estimator for self-perform substations: develop bottoms-up estimates for transmission and distribution bids (primarily substations), manage estimate schedules, review RFPs and engineering documents, perform quantity take-offs and risk analysis, develop high level project schedules in Excel, review vendor/subcontractor quotes, lead bid reviews and subcontractor solicitation, validate estimates with project management, document cost history and support value engineering, and train/mentor staff. Proficient with Microsoft Office, ConEst and K-base; strong communication and analytical skills; capable of leading estimating teams through pre-construction activities and ensuring quality estimates meet methodology standards. Occasional travel to Houston, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- 7 years direct project estimating experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification required
