Self Pay Associate

Self Pay Associate responsible for managing patient balances and driving self-pay collections. The role communicates outstanding balances to patients and families, collaborates with admissions to align with financial agreements, initiates collection calls, handles high volume inbound inquiries about balances and invoices, arranges payments and payment plans, provides daily/weekly status updates to leadership, processes invoices and credit requests per collections guidelines, maintains confidentiality, ensures balances are accurate across departments, investigates escalated insurance billing inquiries, and works within the revenue cycle to prepare balances for collections. Requires a hybrid schedule (4 days/week) in the Nashville office and proximity within 75 minutes of the site; knowledge of medical billing practices and the No Surprises Collections Act; strong written and verbal communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and 2+ years of relevant healthcare-related experience. EOE and compliant with privacy policies.
