Self-Contained Special Education Paraprofessional

Plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students with significant disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting. Provide individualized academic, behavioral, and life skills instruction using specialized strategies, accommodations, and modifications. Manage significant behavioral challenges by implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and collaborate with related service providers to ensure comprehensive support. Create and maintain a safe, structured, and engaging classroom environment while monitoring and documenting student progress toward IEP goals. Maintain accurate records for legal compliance and participate in IEP meetings, Functional Behavior Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans. Utilize assistive technology to support instruction and learning. Work under the supervision of the principal and in collaboration with the Special Education Director.
