Job Summary
Oversee self-checkout units by assisting customers as they scan, weigh, bag, and pay for items while ensuring scanning accuracy and maintaining a clean, orderly area. Serve multiple customers simultaneously, answer questions regarding large items or payment issues, and invite shoppers to use self-checkout lanes when lines form elsewhere. Monitor activity to prevent issues before they occur and direct customers toward weekly ad items and promotions. Thank departing customers and execute all related duties as assigned. Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment
- 1-2 years of cashier experience
