Job Summary
Greet guests at self-checkout registers, guide them through scanning, payment, and bagging, and continuously monitor the area for inquiries or interventions. Troubleshoot basic machine issues, report malfunctions, and ensure stations remain stocked with supplies like receipt paper and bags. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by sanitizing equipment and keeping signage visible while assisting with loss prevention by observing transactions and reporting suspicious activity. Collaborate with other associates, participate in training, and provide feedback to improve checkout processes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Cashier and Bagger
- Basic technical proficiency and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed
- Ability to read, count, and write accurately
- Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple registers at a time
- Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
- Standing for long periods (up to 90%) and some lifting may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
