Job Summary
Visually examine bottles at a light station, discarding defective ware into a cullet chute, and hand pack bottles into cartons by reaching for and placing two to four bottles at a time. Supply empty cartons to the conveyor, unjam bottle lines or equipment, and maintain good housekeeping through routine cleanup. Rotate with other employees every twenty minutes while stepping onto and off one-level standard height platforms without handrails, and navigate stairs with handrails to cross single line conveyors. Lift cases ranging from 8 to 15 lbs and individual bottles averaging 8 to 14 oz. This eight-hour shift supports Anchor Glass Container LLC's production of premium glass containers for iconic consumer brands across the US.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 8lbs to 15lbs
- Must be able to lift individual bottles weighing 8oz to 14oz
- Must be able to step onto and off of platforms throughout the shift
- Must be able to go up and down stairs with handrails
- Must be able to sit at a visual station
- Must be able to stand at a hand packing station
- Must be able to reach for and pick up two to four bottles from a packing table
- Must be able to place bottles into a customer carton
- Must be able to supply empty cartons to a conveyor
- Must be able to unjam bottle lines or equipment
- Must be able to perform routine cleanup of work area
