Job Summary
Responsible for processing customer orders and assembling pallets by selecting the correct products and quantities, loading pallets for transportation, and verifying accuracy against picking lists. Operates RF scanners, forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker to move and stage products, ensures proper rotation (FIFO) and minimizes damage. Coordinates with forklift operators, identifies substitutes when items are out of stock, loads trucks, and performs basic inventory tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards. Requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 months related experience) and the ability to read instructions, perform basic math, and handle physical duties in a warehouse environment. This position is located in New Brockton, Alabama, and is classified as in-person, hourly, and safety-sensitive.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and understand measurements
- Experience or ability to operate RF scanners, forklift, pallet jack, and cherry picker
- Ability to identify correct product and quantity; determine partial cases; rotate stock using FIFO
- Ability to lift and move products safely; operate and coordinate with forklift operators
- Attention to detail to verify product against picking list and ensure accuracy
- Ability to communicate with supervisors and team members to substitute products when out of stock
- Commitment to safety and ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment
