Job Summary
SEL Related Arts Teacher (K-5) delivering Tier 1 Social-Emotional Learning instruction across a rotating schedule at Claxton Elementary. Uses arts and literacy to foster emotional literacy, self-regulation, resilience, and peer connection, integrating CASEL frameworks with restorative practices and Teaching for Justice standards. Provides instructional coaching, collaborates with the School Counselor and Behavior Wraparound Team, analyzes behavior data to inform Tier 1 instruction, and participates in professional development and school-wide community-building activities. Requires NC licensure and a 4-year college degree; duties include delivering weekly wellbeing instruction, designing arts-integrated SEL lessons, building inclusive classroom culture, and supporting targeted Tier 2/3 data-p-driven interventions when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate from a 4-year accredited college education program or have alternative qualifications approved by the State Board of Education.
