Job Summary
Write news and feature content for broadcasts and web/social media, conducting and writing up interviews while researching facts. Log data entry for VOA's digital asset management system and adapt or translate content between English and native languages. Participate in creating radio, TV, and web programs; voice material and contribute finished products including fine editing of taped material and static graphics. Perform technical functions by operating equipment and facilitate teammate tasks. Meet productivity and quality standards with independent work, requiring fluency in a target language and deep area knowledge alongside English.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus fluency in English (written/spoken)
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
