Job Summary
Segment Director of HR leading HR strategies across multiple business units in a medical manufacturing environment; partners with the VP of HR and segment leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives, growth plans, and operational needs; serves on the senior leadership team to guide workforce planning, organizational design, and culture; coaches and mentors senior leadership; drives talent development, performance management, succession planning, and change management; leads HR metrics and analytics to support business decisions; provides dotted-line supervision of HR Managers across sites, partners with plant leadership to drive productivity, engagement, and retention; ensures onboarding, training, and workforce readiness meet operational requirements; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; oversees audits, investigations, and employee relations matters; manages HR policy and handbook compliance with corporate HR; leads annual HR compliance matters; champions a culture of safety in collaboration with EHS and Operations; drives safety training and OSHA/workers’ compensation processes; supports talent acquisition for hourly, technical, and leadership roles; leads leadership development and succession planning; drives organizational development and employee engagement strategies; partners with local teams to build pipelines with schools and community programs; provides executive guidance on complex employee relations; fosters a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement aligned with company values; supports engagement surveys and action planning; partners with Finance on compensation strategy, budgeting, and labor cost management; contributes to annual budget process; oversees HRIS systems (UKG) and reporting tools; drives process improvement and standardization across HR functions; demonstrates strategic thinking, strong executive presence, and data-driven decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- 8+ years of progressively responsible HR leadership experience, including multi-site or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and regulatory environments
