Seeking Inpatient Psychiatrist Southern CA VA!!

Inpatient Psychiatrist needed at VA Loma Linda Healthcare System in Southern California for full-time clinical, teaching, and academic duties. Responsibilities include providing the full range of psychiatric services for General Psychiatric disorders in an inpatient setting, conducting assessments, treatment planning, and coordinating patient care with Medical/ED staff and Mental Health Services. The role includes consulting with clinical staff, handling suicide risk assessments, coordinating hospitalizations when necessary, completing timely consults, and providing follow-up care. Teaching and supervising General Psychiatry Residents and medical students is integral, with involvement in telehealth modalities (VVC) and other digital platforms. The position emphasizes academic care, teaching, and potential research, in partnership with VA Loma Linda and affiliated medical schools/universities. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, in a hospital-based inpatient setting in Southern California. The role requires board-eligible or board-certified credentials in Psychiatry with residency training and a strong interpersonal and team-building skillset for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
