Job Summary
Manage the intake process for new patients by coordinating scheduling, verifying insurance, and ensuring seamless transitions of care. Conduct patient admissions and maintain accurate records while adhering to HIPAA regulations and managing changing priorities. Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare scheduling software to handle multiple tasks with high attention to detail. Support clinicians and families through strong communication skills and professional telephone manners. This role requires 1–2 years of experience in home health care or medical scheduling and is open to candidates with knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid processes.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in home health care, medical scheduling, patient intake, or healthcare administration
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare scheduling software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPPAA regulations
- Strong customer service skills and a professional telephone manner
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of home health services, Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance verification processes preferred
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
