Job Summary
Harvest Lead coordinates daily harvest plans and supervises the harvest and sowing crew to meet daily targets, trains crew in operating procedures with emphasis on safety and food safety, ensures adherence to SOPs and quality requirements, communicates irregularities to the supervisor, creates daily harvest and sowing plans under supervisor guidance, and maintains accurate records of testing and charts in compliance with company and regulatory guidelines. The role emphasizes safe, clean, organized work areas, periodic sanitation, and reporting of food safety and quality issues to leadership. Previous experience in a production or agricultural setting and training in food safety/sanitation are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a production environment or related work experience
- Food or agriculture industry experience preferred
- Training in Food Safety and Sanitation
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, safety rules, label mixing instructions
- Ability to fulfill routine logs related to food safety and inspection reports
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers
