Seedcare Technical Lead

Job Summary
Seedcare Technical Lead responsible for managing the Seedcare Institute laboratory activities, developing SCI strategy aligned with the Seedcare 5-year plan, ensuring client servicing per Syngenta policies (Salesforce usage), conducting small-scale seed treatments and recipe design, delivering tailor-made seed application services, training customers on application technology and troubleshooting at factories, coordinating on-farm seed treatments with Key Account Managers, championing sustainability for Seedcare in BA, supporting seedcare demand creation through successful demo trials, liaising with CPD colleagues and KAMs for proper site selection and management before/during/after trials, data collection and reporting per protocols, and participating in field days/expositions and industry events with campaigns in collaboration with Seedcare leadership for EASA.
Required Qualifications
- BSc degree in Agriculture/Agronomy or equivalent coupled with Production or Business Management
- Member of Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AIZ)
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the seed care business
- Significant background and/or knowledge in crop agronomy, seed processing or related field
- Sound understanding of the seed industry, crop protection, Seedcare, and farm production (GAP)
- In depth understanding of the seed industry in Southern Africa
- Strong stakeholder management and training (inclusive of customers and farmers)
