Seed Technician

Seed Technician in Huxley, IA: Operates production equipment and uses real-time data to optimize procedures; maintains equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and troubleshoots process issues. Mentors seasonal staff and provides coaching/training to trainees and peers; handles field inspections and grower contracts, collaborates with the grower network, and ensures compliance with HSE/QA/QC standards. Uses SAP to document readings and production information, maintains process documentation (start-up/shut-down procedures, standard work, process diagrams), and contributes to daily direction-setting meetings to allocate resources. Fosters continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, Six Sigma) and supports focused improvement activities; maintains visual management boards to drive teamwork and shift changeover. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with an Agriculture focus and bilingual Spanish.
