Job Summary
Seed Handler in Pelleting responsible for processing seed pellets per specifications to ensure consistent product quality, observing and evaluating quality at multiple stages, mixing formulations from recipes, and operating both large and small machinery with troubleshooting to maintain equipment efficiency. Collaborates with the team to deliver best-in-class service, adheres to quality control measures, and participates in continuous improvement. Role requires attention to detail, problem solving, and strong communication; candidate will work in a greenhouse/seed production environment with standard daytime hours. Hourly pay ranges from $17-$19, and the position includes a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, life, 401k, PTO, tuition assistance, EAP). The location is West Chicago, IL.”,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- 1 or more years of experience working with seed or in a greenhouse preferred but not required
- Basic math and computer skills, ability to enter and maintain records in computer system
- Excellent verbal and written English skills, bilingual capabilities a plus
- MS Office experience preferred
- Problem solving, attention to detail, organizational skills, teamwork, adaptability, and flexibility
- Work directly with other employees inside and outside the department on shared objectives
