Job Summary
Develop and maintain software requirements while reviewing vendor specifications and coordinating integration efforts. Conduct analysis of software defects and collaborate with cybersecurity subject matter experts. Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews, including SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, and CDRs, and support the Engineering Change Proposal process. Prepare and review Statements of Work and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists, and develop Independent Government Cost Estimates. Assist in technical evaluations of Contractor proposals within an Agile and SAFe team environment. This full-time, on-site role at NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD requires an active Secret clearance and at least two years of software or systems engineering experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities
- Knowledge of avionics systems
- An ACTIVE Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207
- Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, MBSE, or systems safety & reliability
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and software
- Experience with Agile software development processes
