Job Summary
Conduct scheduled rounds inside and outside buildings to maintain a secure environment for residents, visitors, and company property. Respond to fire alarms and emergency calls, while performing preventive maintenance, seasonal repairs, and general building upkeep including plumbing and equipment servicing. Keep entranceways clear by shoveling and sweeping walkways during daily checks, and assist with special security needs as they arise. Provide written reports of community incidents and prior shift activities to the Director of Plant Operations. Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in proper condition, and adhere to infection control and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and understand and follow instructions in English
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic
- Ability to make decisions quickly and in accordance with established protocol
- Must have or be willing to be trained in first responder and first aid training
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to walk 90% of the workday
- Ability to stoop and stretch occasionally
- Must observe universal precautions
Desired Qualifications
- One year experience in security preferred
