Security Technician

Job Summary
Deploy, configure, and support security solutions including email protection, endpoint security, MFA, and threat detection systems. Respond to and manage security escalations, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediations for incidents from partners or internal teams. Serve as a security subject matter expert by advising partners on best practices, providing technical guidance during product deployment, and performing security assessments to present findings and recommendations. Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation while conducting training sessions for internal team members and end users. Continually evaluate security solutions to propose new technologies aligned with industry standards such as NIST and CIS. Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to resolve complex issues, with afterhours incident response available as needed. Travel to partner sites using a motor vehicle to perform installations and provide on-site assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an IT support or consulting role
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience providing excellent exceptional service directly to end users
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience supporting security products
- Possesses valid driver's license and proof of insurance, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation
- Frequently operates a motor vehicle while traveling to partner sites
- Frequently exposed to outside elements when traveling to partner sites
- Frequently sits and/or stands for long periods of time
- Frequently uses the computer with fingers and hands for documentation, research, and troubleshooting
- Frequently works in a well-lit, tempered room
- Frequently views the computer to perform duties
- Frequently bends, stoops, kneels, or climbs when installing or moving computers, monitors, servers, etc.
- Occasionally lifts objects such as office supplies, computers, monitors, and servers with weight up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- A BA/BS in related field is preferred
- One or more of the following industry certifications Security+, CySA+, MCSA/E, MOS, CCNA, are preferred
