Job Summary
Assist technicians with installing fire alarm and security system components, including mounting devices, panels, and running conduit through confined spaces. Perform manual labor tasks such as drilling, fishing wire, and loading/unloading tools and materials to and from job sites. Support material staging, tool organization, and jobsite setup/cleanup to maintain safety standards. Learn to read basic blueprints and wiring diagrams under senior staff guidance while assisting with basic wiring and terminations. Communicate professionally with lead technicians, project managers, and site contacts. This entry-level role offers on-the-job training for the low-voltage/life safety industry across Central Florida.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience in general labor, construction, or a related trade
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work safely as part of a team
- Basic familiarity with hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn low-voltage systems, tools, and industry terminology
- Ability to work outdoors and on active construction sites in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Desired Qualifications
- Security or low-voltage industry experience
- OSHA 10 certification
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification
