Job Summary

Manage physical security equipment to ensure all devices are operational and end users can monitor, mitigate, and investigate risks. Serve as the security point person for Genetec Access Control, CCTV, Lenel, Avigilon, Omnigo, and Blackboard systems, managing user accounts and permissions per best practices. Act as the primary responder for onsite technical issues, troubleshooting remotely and assessing needs with the Senior Global Security Manager. Identify and resolve offline equipment to minimize downtime by engaging vendors and campus resources. Respond to critical events by providing in-person situational assessments, archiving incident information, and facilitating resources for business continuity. Maintain active inventory of security spares and panels while conducting routine maintenance on physical and technical systems. Monitor network traffic, detect breaches, and perform forensic analysis to coordinate with cross-functional teams. Stay informed on cybersecurity threats and conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO, and DOH standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience
  • Minimum five years' experience in security
  • Valid WA driver's license or ability to obtain same within 3 months of hire
  • Genetec Enterprise Technical Certification (System design and hardening) or able to attain within 1 year of hire
  • No criminal record
  • Familiarity and experience (minimum 5 years) with security access control systems, video/CCTV and incident report computer programs
  • Includes programming and trouble shooting

Desired Qualifications

  • CPP, PSP, IAHSS or comparable certifications

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed including evenings, weekends and holidays
