Security Systems Technician

Job Summary
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot security systems, hardware, and peripherals to ensure assigned premises remain safe and secure. Evaluate present systems to recommend expansion, modification, and replacement. Communicate with management, vendors, and contractors to establish working relationships while correcting malfunctions to restore equipment conformance. Maintain records of installed equipment, perform physical inventories, and clean work areas. Test backup batteries, keypad programming, and other security features to ensure proper functioning. Respond to service requests and resolve standard issues related to access control, video systems, and alarms. Perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, and system checks to ensure reliability. This role reports directly to the Security Technology Operations Supervisor and supports daily operations and assigned projects related to enterprise security systems.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines
- Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
- Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Valid State of Florida driver's license
