Job Summary
Security Systems Engineer to support a government client’s security operations mission. Responsibilities include deploying, operating, administering, troubleshooting, updating, securing, and maintaining systems, software, and infrastructure enabling enterprise cybersecurity capabilities; operating and managing networks, servers, IP address management, and related components; providing cross-team collaboration to design and implement automation; scripting in Bash, Perl, JavaScript, or Python; maintaining and optimizing security infrastructure; contributing to threat analysis and security posture improvements; on-call rotation and identity verification requirements; and ensuring compliance with vetting requirements. Key skills include Armis for Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management, Elastic Stack SIEM analytics, strong scripting abilities, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience leading and coordinating security and infrastructure initiatives
- Experience with Armis platform for Cyber Asset Attack Surface Management
- Elastic Stack for search, observability, and SIEM analytics
- Designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting scripting (Bash, Perl, JavaScript, or Python)
- Automation to enhance operational effectiveness
- Ability to collaborate across teams to design automation
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize security infrastructure
- Strategic troubleshooting and guidance for information security systems
- Ability to stay up to date with modern security and automation technologies
- Ability to obtain Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination
- HS diploma or GED and 12+ years OR Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in information security
- CISSP or CISM Certification Nice If You Have: experience with threat intelligence tools, documentation skills, mentoring skills
- On-call availability
