Job Summary
Security System Design and Configuration Specialists support a physical security system across NNSA sites, creating and maintaining CAD/fabrication drawings, configuration records, and documentation; coordinating RFIs, procurement, vendor communications, and inventory for EAM; ensuring QA/compliance and deployment readiness; requiring active DOE Q or Top Secret clearance, a technical bachelor's degree, and hybrid work arrangement. Responsibilities include leading hardware distribution efforts, maintaining traceability, and providing technical guidance across cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical area, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Active Department of Energy (DOE) Q-level clearance or Top Secret clearance
- Experience with CAD, drawing management, and configuration records
- Experience coordinating procurements, vendor communication, and logistics
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of PCB design, electrical schematics, and fabrication methods
- Experience with security system hardware design and deployment
- Proficiency in design/documentation tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mentor Graphics PADS, Windchill PDMLink)
