Job Summary
Monitor premises and surrounding areas for suspicious activity, investigating disturbances and observing for signs of crime. Patrol buildings and perimeters randomly or regularly, keeping the perimeter clean and free of debris while escorting staff to vehicles as requested. Respond to concerns and complaints with a calm demeanor, utilizing de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts. Report suspicious incidents immediately to the Security Supervisor and law enforcement, and document maintenance concerns, damaged property, and unsafe conditions for the Facilities Manager. Provide support to maintenance with facility duties as directed. Work Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm at a wage of $19.00-$21.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Washington State drives license
- required minimum liability insurance for WA State
- Being cleared by criminal background check
- fingerprinting when required
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as required during all seasons
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency diploma (GED)
- 1 year experience in security or related field
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Ability to understand both verbal and written instructions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with basic Security practices
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
