Job Summary
Control traffic and public access to campus and administrative sites while surveying buildings for unsafe conditions. Maintain visible security stations, verify visitor and staff identification, and enforce school rules and local laws. Conduct periodic inspections of grounds, monitor bus arrivals and student activities, and assist principals in safety matters. Prepare incident reports, unlock doors for special events, and provide support in crisis situations. Work closely with local police and communicate concerns with teachers, administrators, and parents.
Required Qualifications
- Security experience
- Eligibility for St. Louis County Security Licensure
- 3-5 years working with high school school-aged students
- St. Louis County Security Officer's License
- Mo. Driver's License
- Equivalent to graduation from a general or technical high school
- Regular attendance
- Ability to travel to work sites within a school campus
- Capability to physically apprehend or restrain a person
- Normal attention with clarity of vision at 20 feet or more
- Field of vision that can be seen up and down or right to left while fixed on point
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with students at the high school level preferred
- CPI Trained
