Job Summary
Transport residents to appointments, errands, and jail placements; oversee residents in the kitchen program; and assist with security functions including pat-downs, UA screenings, and headcounts. Monitor the transport calendar, coordinate with medical staff for appointments, and ensure residents are accounted for during agenda checks. Assist vendors and residents entering or leaving the facility while performing daily interoffice mail delivery. Conduct security screenings, write incident reports, and serve as role models for acceptable behavior. Report regularly to team members and attend meetings to support smooth facility operations.
Required Qualifications
- Firm, fair, and consistent boundaries with residents.
- Empathy and the ability to understand and share the feelings of others.
- Customer service skills to effectively interact with residents and staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including Days, Swings, and Over-Night shifts, as we are a 24/7 facility.
- Ability to work with offenders and handle tasks such as transporting, restraining, and transferring them as needed.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- High School Diploma.
- Ability to pass federal drug testing and a background check.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to be added to the Agency's insurance.
