Job Summary
Coordinate security staff activities to maintain safety for residents, visitors, and employees by planning patrols, managing access control, and directing escort services. Develop and implement security procedures, analyze traffic and parking issues, and recommend revised policies based on incident reports. Supervise department operations by conducting performance evaluations, managing schedules, and enforcing safety regulations in accordance with state and federal laws. Maintain electronic databases and documentation while leading investigations into criminal acts and improper campus activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Military experience
- Minimum of 7 years experience in law enforcement or security field
- Must be armed C.L.E.E.T. certified
- Thorough knowledge of law enforcement procedures, state law and company rules and regulations
- Working knowledge of the interpretive application of federal and state occupational safety and health standards and regulations
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a positive Customer Service attitude
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to create, maintain, and manage electronic records, databases, reports, and security-related documentation
