Job Summary
Lead Security Officers at Barclays Center by deploying staff for events, assigning shifts, and mentoring team members to ensure safe, secure experiences for guests, artists, and employees. Resolve escalated security situations, document incidents, and enforce venue policies while maintaining composure during dynamic shifts. Supervise 24/7 building posts including the Loading Dock, Dean Admin, and Command Center, conducting daily inventories, equipment checks, and fire alarm evacuations. Provide leadership, administer performance reviews, and update Standard Operating Procedures. Requires a valid NYS Security Guard Card, F03 Fire Guard license, and at least one year supervising subordinates. Available for flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous security experience
- Valid NYS Security Guard Card License
- F03 Fire Guard license
- At least 1-2 year's experience supervising and leading subordinates
- Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with building personnel, guests, visitors, clients, and vendors
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and employment verification
- Must have strong teamwork etiquette
- Must be able to adapt to changes in assignment per event
- Must maintain a high standard of grooming and professionalism
- Ability to maintain patron, employee, and company confidentiality
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to walk/stand and climb stairs for more than 4 hours
- Strong interpersonal and communication (written and verbal in English) skills
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Must be able to write a report and send grammatically correct emails in a professional tone
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
