Job Summary
Supervise venue security positions at Toyota-Arena, Stage Red Theater, ONT-Field, and Ontario Convention Centers during designated shifts. Update briefing materials for officers, conduct shift briefings with incoming and outgoing staff, and investigate incidents to prepare accurate daily and event-related reports. Ensure all posts remain safe, in order, and clean while enforcing venue policies and resolving escalated issues, including warnings and ejections. Train staff in guest service and security skills, mentor the team, and lead by example. Maintain full knowledge of venue layouts, security systems, and emergency procedures to protect guests, employees, and assets. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays with flexible scheduling, reporting by 5:00 PM until shift end.
Required Qualifications
- California Issued Guard Card
- A minimum education level of High School Diploma or equivalency
- Ability to acquire a California Guard Card at your own expense
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Understand the rule of law and relevant penal codes
- Ability to represent the Security Dept. in an exemplary manner
- Ability to maintain good business relations with all the employees & managers in all depts.
- Ability to effectively perform in crises and work under pressure without loss of composure
- Ability to maintain patron, employee and company confidentiality
- Available 80% of events (Arena which may include HOLIDAYS) a month which can include 4 days a week, including Friday and All-day Saturdays and Sundays
- Report to work no later than 5:00PM during the week working until the end of each shift, possibly 11:00PM-12:0AM
- Applicants must be available to work evenings and weekends, as well as some Holidays
- Must be flexible
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to climb up and down stairs throughout the shift
- Ability to work in changing temperatures, inside the arena and outdoors
Desired Qualifications
- 2-4 years of Supervisory level experience (preferred)
- 0 - 2+ years in a sports and entertainment venue preferred
