Job Summary
Maintain a personal presence throughout the facility while supervising and managing subordinates in the execution of appropriate strategies consistent with law and company policy. Oversee the training of assigned officers to ensure they carry out all site duties, and maintain regular communication with designated clients and the operations manager. Schedule all security officer shifts three weeks in advance without overtime, approve time sheets weekly, and manage inventory of equipment and uniforms. Be available at all times to handle subordinate site questions and unexpected scheduling issues. This full-time, billable role requires 40+ hours per week in Bellefontaine, OH, with on-call availability for sick employees and short-notice shift coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be of good moral character
- Must have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for criminal sexual conduct or related offenses, theft, assault, or crimes of moral turpitude
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter
- Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image to Clients, employees, and the general public
- Must have above average customer service skills
- Must have impeccable grooming
- Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aid/AED Certified
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Must have a flexible schedule
- Must be willing to cover shifts on short notice
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be willing to travel to various locations
- Must be physically and mentally sound
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for 8-12 hour shifts, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
- Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Previous leadership and / or supervisory experience
- 2 years minimum of experience as a security officer
- Prior certification in CPR/1st Aid/AED
- Experience scheduling
