Job Summary

Provide visible leadership and direction to the onsite security team, managing daily operations including access control, patrols, incident response, and reporting. Oversee staffing by preparing schedules, approving time-offs, and resolving absences while reviewing timesheets and payroll for accuracy. Develop and update post orders, standard operating procedures, and training materials; track security metrics to identify trends and service gaps. Serve as the primary liaison between the team, facility departments, site leadership, and the Security Manager to coordinate staffing, operational issues, and incident follow-ups. Conduct proactive analysis of security operations to recommend risk-reduction improvements and implement innovative, technology-enabled solutions. Ensure team members receive effective onboarding, site training, and competency assessments with immediate coaching when required. Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and regulatory obligations while communicating significant events to appropriate stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a security environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable Ontario legislation, regulations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements affecting property protection and the delivery of security guard services
  • Working knowledge of security operations, including access control, patrols, alarm and CCTV monitoring, emergency response, incident management, workplace violence prevention, investigations within assigned authority, and protection of people and property
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and follow issues through to resolution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic workforce, reporting, and security management systems
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license with a clean drivers' abstract
