Job Summary
Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift Leads while overseeing daily security operations and conducting site patrols. Manage performance, assist with hiring and training, and ensure proper scheduling, coverage, and accurate timekeeping. Oversee compliance with post orders, respond to incidents and alarms, and coordinate with local authorities as needed. Monitor security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control, and maintain knowledge of emergency procedures. Build relationships with mall management, tenants, and local law enforcement while communicating regularly with the Operations Manager. This hands-on leadership role ensures a safe environment for customers, employees, and vendors at Tippecanoe Mall in Lafayette, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Prior security experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practices
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security licenses/certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable using security systems and standard office equipment
- Reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented
