Job Summary
Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift Leads while overseeing daily security operations and conducting site patrols. Manage team performance, assist with hiring and training, and ensure accurate scheduling and timekeeping. Respond to incidents and alarms, coordinate with local authorities, and maintain compliance with post orders and safety protocols. Monitor security systems including CCTV and access control, ensure equipment maintenance, and complete all required reports and logs. Build relationships with mall management, tenants, and local law enforcement while delivering professional customer service. This hands-on leadership role at Tippecanoe Mall requires full-time Sunday through Saturday shifts starting at $20.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Prior security experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practices
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security licenses/certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable using security systems and standard office equipment
- Reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse groups
