Job Summary
Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift Leads while ensuring proper scheduling, coverage, and accurate timekeeping. Oversee daily security operations by conducting site patrols, inspecting safety standards, and responding to incidents or alarms with coordination to local authorities. Monitor security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control, ensuring all equipment and company vehicles remain maintained and functioning properly. Build strong relationships with mall management, tenants, and local police or fire departments while communicating regularly with the Operations Manager. This hands-on leadership role at Tippecanoe Mall in Lafayette, IN, requires adherence to all safety protocols and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Prior security experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practices
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security licenses/certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectively
