Job Summary
Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift Leads while overseeing daily security operations and conducting site patrols. Manage performance, ensure proper scheduling and timekeeping, and respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms by coordinating with local authorities as needed. Monitor security systems including CCTV and access control, maintain equipment, and enforce safety protocols. Build relationships with mall management, tenants, and law enforcement while providing excellent customer service to visitors. Work Sunday through Saturday at Tippecanoe Mall in Lafayette, IN, earning a starting rate of $20.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Prior security experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practices
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security licenses/certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable using security systems and standard office equipment
- Reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across diverse groups
