Job Summary
Supervise, coach, and support Security Officers and Shift Leads while overseeing daily security operations and ensuring compliance with post orders. Conduct site patrols and inspections, respond to incidents and alarms, and coordinate with local authorities as needed. Monitor security systems including CCTV and alarms, ensure equipment maintenance, and enforce safety protocols. Manage performance, assist with hiring and training, and ensure accurate scheduling, coverage, and timekeeping. Build relationships with mall management, tenants, and local police, and communicate regularly with the Operations Manager. Perform this hands-on leadership role at Tippecanoe Mall in Lafayette, IN, with a starting pay of $20.00/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Prior security experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities
- Knowledge of security operations, procedures, and safety practices
- Ability to obtain and maintain required security licenses/certifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (report writing required)
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable using security systems and standard office equipment
- Reliable, adaptable, and detail-oriented
