Job Summary
Security Steward role supporting CDC Security Steward Services with RMF lifecycle execution, ATO attainment, and continuous monitoring. Responsibilities include RMF processing, IAVA management, GRC tool usage (Archer preferred), vulnerability scanning/remediation (ACAS, Fortify), POAM writing with justification for non-compliant items, and policy development. Must have 5-10 years information assurance experience, a relevant degree preferred, and CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification. Preferred: NIST/DISA RMF experience, IAT III certifications (CISSP/CISM/CASP). Salary range $107,000-$135,000 with comprehensive benefits; remote work in the Atlanta, GA area.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of specialized Information Assurance experience
- Degree in cyber security, IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- CompTIA Security+ certification required or preferred
- FISMA knowledge and experience
- Experience with RMF process lifecycle (IATT, ATO-C, ATO, ASR, DATO)
- Experience with GRC tools (Archer preferred)
- IAVA management experience
- Vulnerability remediation and STIG/Manual Checklist auditing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in a government-context environment
