Security Staff / School Bus Driver

Portledge School seeks a dependable, safety-minded professional to serve in a dual capacity as a member of the campus Security Staff and as a School Bus Driver. Responsibilities include campus supervision to monitor student presence and movement, redirecting students to scheduled locations, supervising transitions, and assisting with safety drills; and transportation duties to safely operate a school bus for routes and field trips, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and maintain records. Candidate must build positive relationships with students from pre-nursery through Grade 12, enforce rules in a firm but fair manner, coordinate with contracted security, and comply with NYS safety and transportation regulations. Requires High school diploma or equivalent, NY CDL with P and S endorsements, Article 19-A certification, NYS Security Guard Registration, background checks, 2+ years of relevant experience, CPR/First Aid/AED, and ability to work irregular hours; preferred experience in schools and emergency management training.
