Job Summary
Senior Manager, Global Security leads and oversees the campus security program, including physical security, investigations, emergency preparedness, security technology, and operations across a large Biotech campus. Responsibilities include shaping the Global Security strategy, managing contract security services and internal security functions (ERT, GSOC), conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigations, developing and enforcing security policies, coordinating with Legal, HR, Facilities, EHS, and external agencies, overseeing access control, CCTV, visitor management, and security infrastructure, and delivering executive security metrics and program updates. Requires advanced degrees with substantial experience in global/corporate/public security, leadership of security operations, investigations, emergency management, physical security programs, and security systems; certification and experience with security operations centers, crisis management, and regulatory compliance are highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree and 2 years of combined Global Security, Corporate Security, and/or Public Security Sector experience
- Master’s degree and 4 years of combined Global Security, Corporate Security, and/or Public Security Sector experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of combined Global Security, Corporate Security, and/or Public Security Sector experience
- Associate’s degree and 10 years of combined Global Security, Corporate Security, and/or Public Security Sector experience
- High school diploma / GED and 12 years of combined Global Security, Corporate Security, and/or Public Security Sector experience
- ASIS CPP and/or PSP certification preferred
- Experience leading security operations, investigations, emergency management, physical security programs, and security systems programs
- Experience managing security suppliers, consultants, and contract security providers
- Strong communication, analytical, financial, and leadership skills
- Experience with GSOC, incident management, threat monitoring, crisis communications, and security technology integration
- Knowledge of access control, CCTV, visitor management, and integrated security systems
- Ability to influence senior leaders and manage cross-functional relationships
- Experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/life sciences security preferred
- Regulatory requirements in security including TSA, C-TPAT (preferred)
