Job Summary
Program Security Officer duties include ensuring compliance with DoD/NISPOM/ICD requirements, acting as primary security point of contact for program managers and staff, handling CAC/NDAs, SCI nominations, and access requests in DISS/ACCS, interpreting security requirements in RFPs and DD 254s, coordinating with security teams, providing classified shipping support, training staff on handling classified information, managing security briefs and access rosters, overseeing clearance processing in DoD systems, maintaining security records, ensuring flow-down of security requirements to subcontractors, safeguarding classified material, conducting inventory audits, and onboarding new hires. Preferred skills include Top Secret/SCI eligibility and familiarity with DoD/ICD/DCSA/DIA guidance and completing Facility Security Officer training within six months of hire.
Required Qualifications
- US citizenship is required
- Current Secret eligibility with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI eligibility within twelve (12) months of hire
- Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years’ experience OR 4-6 years’ experience in lieu of a degree
- Experience with DISS, ACCS, and/or NISS
- Experience with Cleared Defense Contractors, DoD, DCSA, and/or DIA
- Effective communication with defense contractors, government representatives, and program staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
