Job Summary
The Journeyman Security Specialist supports SCI and SAP security administration across assigned facilities, independently managing security across personnel, physical, operations, and communications disciplines. Responsible for visitor control, clearance verification via DISS, SOPs and training materials development, classification and handling of sensitive information, and coordination with SSR/GSSO. Performs facility security duties including reservations for TEMPEST documentation, COMSEC/inventory tasks, security inspections, foreign travel tracking, access control, and maintenance of security documentation. Requires active TS/SCI eligibility and continuous evaluation, with five years of SCIF/SAPF security experience and the ability to obtain SFPC within one year. Only fully on-site work at Carpendale, WV; relocation is not available. Must meet physical requirements and pass background/drug checks.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- TS/SCI eligibility and Continuous Evaluation/Vetting
- Minimum five (5) years of experience supporting SCIF or SAPF security programs
- Experience conducting security administration including self-inspections and government accreditation inspections
- Knowledge of SCI and SAP security policies and procedures
- Skill in processing personnel security actions and visit requests
- Ability to conduct security self-inspections and physical security checks
- High School Diploma or GED; SFPC certification within one year of employment
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug testing
