Job Summary
Develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, and training methods to identify and protect information, personnel, property, and facilities from unauthorized disclosure, misuse, theft, espionage, or sabotage. Recommend, evaluate, and maintain operating systems, devices, and procedures for safeguarding mission-critical assets. Exercise delegated access control to secure areas, assist in opening and closing controlled zones, manage facility alarm systems, and conduct end-of-duty security checks. Analyze and evaluate the background and history of employees and candidates for access to classified information. Escort personnel and visitors as needed while adhering to DoD security procedures for classified transmission, mail protection, and incident reporting. Requires an active Top Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship, and 10 years of experience with 3 in the DoD.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. citizenship
- BA/BS degree
- 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 3 years must be in the DoD
- 15 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, of which 5 years must be in the DoD
- Knowledge of DoD security procedures, to include classified transmission, protection of incoming mail, courier requirements, security incident reporting, and security violation sanctions
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Security Classification Guide development and implementation
