Job Summary
Security Specialist III responsible for maintaining facility security records in NISS, supporting DCSA audits, processing clearance applications, and managing COMSEC operations. Duties include updating NISS records, assisting with inspections, handling clearance processing through DISS/NBIS, auditing security databases, delivering security education and training, securing COMSEC materials, and traveling up to 25% to support secure operations. Requires knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and the ability to implement DoD security policies; strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for cross-functional teams in a national defense context. Role also involves ensuring compliance with federal regulations and supporting a secure operating environment for a national defense mission.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in industrial security
- Strong knowledge of DISS, NBIS, NISPOM, and DCSA protocols
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance required
- Ability to interpret and apply DoD security policies and procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Willingness to work occasional off-Fridays or weekends as needed
Desired Qualifications
