Job Summary
Security Specialist II responsible for supporting SCI facility operations, conducting SAP security inspections and self-inspections, reporting and investigating security incidents, applying DoD directives (including ICD-705/JAFAN), and ensuring compliance across physical, industrial, information, and personnel security domains. Requires 3+ years DoD/IC experience and a Secret clearance; Bachelor’s degree; contract role at ProSync with locations at Naval Support Activity Crane, IN. Must communicate effectively in writing and verbally, read and apply wide-ranging instructions, and evaluate security factors influencing decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- minimum 3 years of experience in physical (PYSEC), industrial, information (INFOSEC) and personnel security (PERSEC)
- experience with SAP Security Compliance Inspections and Self-Inspections
- A minimum Secret security clearance or higher
- knowledge of ICD-705 or similar security compliance documentation
- experience with DoD/IC security policies and directives
- experience in responding to security incidents
- ability to read, comprehend, and apply wide range of instructions and procedures
- familiarity with security classification methods and access controls
- ability to evaluate factors affecting security decisions
- strong communication skills
- self-motivated and able to learn new duties
- experience with SCI protection programs
