Job Summary
Armed Security Specialist II responsible for physical security, inspections, and entry access control at designated locations. Duties include vehicle and personnel entry control points, internal roving patrols, armed escort services, screening of vehicles and personnel at entry points, and protecting equipment and personnel. Maintain weapons qualification and proficiency with Non-Lethal Weapons, perform security guard duties up to 12 hours in potentially austere conditions, and perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements include U.S. citizenship or eligibility, valid driver’s license, minimum 21 years old, at least three years of verifiable experience in U.S. Military, corrections, security, or Law Enforcement, Texas Private Security Level III Training or license (or exempt for full-time LE), clean criminal history and successful background investigation, honorable discharge if applicable, and ability to don required PPE and maintain proficiency with weapons. Location: San Marcos, Texas; Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00/hr; Employment Type: Full-Time & Part-Time; Shifts: Various.
Required Qualifications
- US Citizen or Eligible for Employment in the United States
- Must have a valid US Driver’s License
- A minimum of 21 years old.
- Must have a minimum of Three years verifiable experience in U.S. Military, corrections, security and/or Law Enforcement.
- Must have completed Texas Private Security Level III Training course within previous 30 days or ability to complete course at own expense prior to appointment, OR have a valid Texas PSB Level III License in hand ( Full-Time Law Enforcement Officer applicants are exempt from this requirement)
- Must have clean criminal history and able to pass a pre-employment background investigation
- Honorable discharge from the military (if applicable)
- Employment with SENTRYSIX is contingent upon a favorable background investigation
- Able to don all required personal protective gear.
- Qualify and maintain proficiency with all assigned weapons.
